Get to Know Us

Fitsteps is a ballroom and latin dance based workout created by former Strictly pros Ian Waite and Natalie Lowe, and swimmer Mark Foster.

 

Each dance style is broken down into a few easy to follow steps which are repeated to allow you to burn some calories, improve balance and flexibility, while enjoying a wide variety of music styles.

It is suitable for all levels of fitness and no previous dance experience is needed.

What you need...

1 / Partner needed?

Fitsteps is not danced with a partner.

2 / Clothing?

Wear comfortable clothes and trainers.

3 / Movement?

Movements can be adapted to suit individual needs, low impact options are always given where appropriate.

4 / Contract needed to start?

Classes at Denton Village Hall are pay-as-you go.

About

My name is Jenny

I completed my Fitsteps instructor training 2 years ago after attending a class for a while. I wanted a way to improve my own fitness, and I love the variation in dance styles and music used. It can be hard to get motivated to exercise regularly when, like me,  you are not a “sporty” type, but I always leave classes feeling energised, it’s a great mood booster too.
